Outdoor COVID Guidelines

Please read for guidelines that we need to follow to keep out outdoor season going this year.

We hope your teams are beginning to be able to take advantage of the spring weather!

As we transition to outdoor activities, we need to still keep in mind that Lake County is still under COVID Phase 4. We use public park district fields for practices and games, and thus have lots of eyes potentially on our program as we're the main users of those fields. We ask that you help us maintain good standing with the local park districts by following the high level COVID guidelines as described in the link below:

To summarize, while baseball is a "lower risk" activity, and we are fully able to have our baseball season, there are still some guidelines that apply. A few that apply to us specifically:
  • maintain at least 6 feet apart in and around dugouts
  • players "in play" are not required to wear masks
  • players "on the bench" should wear masks
  • players should not shake hands, fist bump, etc.
  • equipment, water bottles, etc., should not be shared
  • bat backpacks should be hung at least 6 feet apart
  • spectators and non-participants (including coaches) should wear masks
  • spectators should be seated at least 6 feet apart from other families
  • see link above for further details
This is not meant to reflect the views and opinions of the Stars organization. This is simply what we need to do in order to keep our baseball season alive in 2021. We ask that all members of Stars Nation do the same, and respect each other and our communities.

Please help us keep our baseball season going all year by following these guidelines. We appreciate your support.
