Read here for a message from Lake County Stars President, Phil Carona.

Good evening Stars family,

I hope this message finds you all healthy and well.  I know you all share in my disappointment around the uncertainty of how the current global situation may impact our baseball season.  Of course, the health and safety of our families is top priority, and we are following any guidance that applies to us.  As you all know that means no baseball for now, and the STC will remain closed as long as required, which as of now is through April 30.  You also have probably seen the update that youth team photo day has been tentatively moved to May 17.

The Village of Hawthorn woods does not want our teams using the outdoor fields until after the designated time by the Governor, so we can't start outdoor team activities yet either. As we are able, we will begin field preparation so we can hit the ground running as soon as it is safe to begin. We will be providing updated information on the status of MSBL and the season tournaments as it comes available as well.

In the meantime, please be sure to follow our social media accounts and utilize the online training that Coach Ace is providing.

If you can, also please support our Stars sponsors in this difficult time for small businesses. Use their take out option if you feel comfortable doing so.

I am proud of the ways our Stars families have been weathering this unforeseen storm. If anyone in our Stars family is experiencing hardship or requires assistance or aid please don’t hesitate to contact me or Cynthia Zarkowsky, Player Agent. All inquiries will be kept confidential.

Go Stars!!

Sincerely,
Phil Carona
President, Lake County Stars
